In my first few years at Carrot, I was a traditional community manager, which includes planning the content calendar, producing the content, publishing the content, reporting on the content, and responding to the community. Naturally, I kept close attention to the pulse of Silicon Valley where new platforms like Vine would launch or new features for Facebook would be released.

I quickly realized all of this information I had in my head about pixel requirements, posting formats, best practices, etc. for each platform would be quite valuable both internally and with our clients. So, I recruited a couple of my teammates to help me create my vision, and a few weeks later the social media platform bible was born.
